Salvation Army Press Release -

For the second consecutive year, The Salvation Army in Wichita is offering a unique option for contributing to red kettles without pulling out any bills or coins.

This option –called the “Season Pass” – allows individuals to make a one-time donation to the red kettle campaign. Season Passes can be obtained online at www.missionofhope.salvationarmy.us  or from the Salvation Army downtown location at 350 N. Market St.

To commemorate this act of kindness, the contributor will receive a commemorative silver- or gold-colored button they can wear to show their support.

The Season Pass is available at $20, $50 or $100 levels. The Season Pass is currently only offered by The Salvation Army Kansas & Western Missouri Division.

“Instead of worrying about having some change or a buck to drop in every kettle, donors can show their support while doing their holiday shopping by wearing their Season Pass,” said Glen Caddy, Major and Wichita City Commander with The Salvation Army. “We hope people will consider this opportunity.”

All Season Pass donations support Mission of Hope 2013, The Salvation Army’s largest annual fundraiser.

“By giving to Mission of Hope, you can brighten the holidays for those who are less fortunate and help ensure The Salvation Army can continue to provide programs that are critical to the Wichita community,” said Caddy.
