Wichita’s first ‘Mustache Dash’ brings hordes of ‘stached runners downtown
Hordes of runners came bearing ‘staches early Saturday morning, November 16, to participate in Wichita’s first-ever Mustache Dash 5K. The race began at 8:30 AM and took runners on a scenic path along the Arkansas River in Downtown Wichita.
The reason behind the ‘Mustache’ Dash? To support men’s health during the month of Movember.
Movember (which is an annual event in November), encourages men, from around the world, to grow out their mustaches for the entire month.
The purpose of this 30-day hairy event is to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, mainly involving prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and other health-related issues that affect males.
