Tour Guidelines

General Guidelines

Scheduling is subject to tour guide availability and must be scheduled through the Special Projects Coordinator.

Please, arrange your tour at least a month ahead of time.

Groups must have at least 8 people with no more than 30 people.

Individuals must be in 1st grade or older.

Children younger than 4th grade must be accompanied by an adult with a 2 children to 1 adult ratio.

Watching a Live Newscast

Individuals must be in 5th grade or older.

Groups can watch the noon, 4:00, 5:00 or 6:00 newscast. Some exclusions may apply. Direct Questions to the Special Projects Coordinator.

Groups must arrive 15 minutes before the newscast time or they will be unable to watch.

Cell phones must be turned off or on silent.

Flash photography is not allowed.

About the Tour
Our station tours are meant to be informative and educational. Individuals have the opportunity to see how a newscast is made and all of the different facets of a successful media group. This tour is most effective for students 5th grade and older, but is available to children ages 1st grade – 4th grade as well. Tours last about 25 minutes. Tours that also watch a live newscast last about an hour. Questions are welcome at the end of the tour.
