ST. CHARLES, Mo. -

One of the best all around games Wichita State women have played all season came at the perfect time in March.

Holding Drake to less than 40 percent shooting and winning every statistical category, the Lady Shockers won the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title game, 73-49 over Drake, Sunday in St. Charles, Mo.

Jamillah Bonner and Alex Harden each scored 21 points in the game. Four WSU players finished in double figures. Harden was named Most Outstanding Player for the tournament.

The Lady Shockers are back to back champions and Wichita State becomes the latest school to have the men and women win the MVC title in the same year. A first for the Shockers in school history.

WSU's largest lead was 26 with less than six minutes to play.

With the win, it's the women's second straight NCAA tournament berth. They are projected to be a double digit seed in the tournament. They will know their destination on Monday during the selection show.
