CEDAR FALLS, Ia. -

Wichita State couldn't overcome an early double-digit deficit as they fell to Northern Iowa 80-71 on Sunday.  This loss is the first conference loss for the Shockers and it snapped their win streak at 20 games.

Alex Harden led the Shockers with an career-high 31 points but she was one of only two shockers in double-digits scoring as Kelsey Jacobs had 11.

The Shockers got into foul trouble early with Michelle Price and Jamillah Bonner sitting for most of the game.  UNI went to the free throw line 44 times in the matchup and Price and Michaela Dapprich fouled out in the second half.

This loss means Jody Adams could take over as the all-time wins leader in WSU women's basketball on Friday night at Koch Arena against Illinois State.
