Three Shockers picked in final day of MLB Draft

WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita State saw three more student-athletes get picked up in the Major League Baseball first-year player draft on Saturday.

Pitcher A.J. Ladwig was taken in the 11th round by the Detroit Tigers.  Later, third baseman Chase Simpson was picked up by Pittsburgh in the 14th round.  Catcher Tyler Baker was also drafted in the 18th round; Baker was picked up by Arizona.  

Two Shocker signees were also drafted.  In the 31st round the Twins drafted Sam Hilliard and Storm Rynard was taken in the 34th round by Texas.  Chase Williams was taken in the 37th round by the Marlins and then Keenan Eaton was picked in the 39th round by the Phillies.
