Shockers & Jayhawks ranked in Preseason Coaches Poll

Fresh off an appearance in the Final Four last season, the Wichita State Shockers are ranked sixteenth by the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Shockers finished last season ranked fourth.

The Kansas Jayhawks lost a lot of players from last seasons Sweet Sixteen team, but bring in the top recruit in the country, as well as several other high level recruits who are expected to make the Jayhawks a dangerous team yet again. The 'Hawks are ranked sixth in the preseason poll.

Kansas State received three votes, but is unranked.

Kentucky is the number one pick this season, with 767 points, and 16 first-place votes.

Kansas received 623 points, while Wichita State got 233.
