Shocker baseball takes game two over Mo. State

WICHITA, Kansas -

The Wichita State baseball team moved to 2-0 in conference play after a 5-1 win over Missouri State on Saturday.

The Shockers jumped out to a 4-0 lead, thanks to two runs each in the fourth and sixth innings. Cal Elam went eight and 2/3rds innings allowing just one run on eight hits with no walks and eight strikeouts. 

The one run came in the ninth and broke a 58 inning scoreless streak for the Bears.

Casey Gillaspie was 2-for-3 with four RBI and a double for WSU.  Tanner Dearman went 2-for-3 with two runs and Micah Green went 3-for-4 with a run and a double.

The Shockers and Bears wrap up the series Sunday afternoon at Eck Stadium.
