KEARNEY, Nebraska -

The number 25 ranked Fort Hays State University won 85-67 to Nebraska- Kearney on Wednesday night. But the win maybe a costly one. Tigers senior Kate Edwards went down with a knee injury in the first half and did not return. There is no word right now how serious the injury is.

In Edwards absence, junior Kate Lehman stepped up to help fill the void. The center from Newman had a career high 33 points along with 13 rebounds and nine blocks. Chelsea Mason added 19 points for FHSU.

The Lady Tigers improve to 16-4 on the season, 9-4 in the MIAA.

The Number 23 ranked Tiger men lost to the Lopers 90-83 on Wednesday night. Kearney seized control of the game with a 19-5 run in the first half and the deficit was just too big for FHSU to over come.

James Flemming lead the Tigers in scoring with 16 points. Craig Nicholson added 14 and Dwayne Brunson 10.

The Tigers are now 18-4 on the season, 9-4 in the MIAA.
