FHSU makes it two straight with a win over Lindenwood

ST. CHARLES, Missouri (MIAA Release) -

Fort Hays State scored the first 24 points and then held on at Lindenwood for the 31-17 win. FHSU racked up 490 yards of total offense as they picked up their first MIAA win and moved to 2-4 overall on the year.

For the Tigers Treveon Albert was 14 of 18 for 187 yards and three touchdowns, rushing for 125 yards as well. Andre Smith ran for 138 yards and a touchdown while Ed Williams, Keaton Callins and Marshall Musil caught TD passes.

On defense Justin McPhail had eight tackles and Michael Jordan and DeAndre James picked off passes.

For the Lions Dillon Miller was 25 of 38 for 306 yards and a touchdown. Jaron Alexander caught five passes for 143 yards and a touchdown while Marvin Byrd rushed for 70 yards and a score. Clint Koons led the defense with ten tackles as Pierre Desir had an interception.
