A new exhibit featuring rarely seen photographs of Wichita’s aviation history will be on display from Thurs, Jan. 30 through Sat, Feb. 22 at the Kansas Aviation Museum.

The exhibit includes over one hundred historic photographs from the museum’s collection, including collages of unusual photos featuring Boeing, Beechcraft, Cessna, Travel Air, Stearman and Lear Jet.

Along with historic photos, the exhibit also features several scale models of iconic Wichita and Kansas airplanes, the full scale 1957 Pretty Prairie Special aircraft, and a partial wing from a rare, Wichita-built airplane known as the Watkins Skylark.

The exhibit will be part of January’s Final Friday arts crawl on Fri, Jan. 31 from 5 – 9 PM. If you attend Final Friday, you can sign up to win complimentary, annual museum memberships to the Kansas Aviation Museum (a value of $65 dollars).
