Plan a weekend trip to annual Toy Train Show and Swap

This weekend, take the family to the Wichita Toy Train Club's 19th Annual Train Show and Swap at the Cessna Activity Center, 2744 George Washington Blvd., Wichita, KS  67210. The two-day event will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2013, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 29, 2013, 11 a.m.– 4 p.m.

There will be over 40 train vendors and 100 tables set-up for visitors to buy, sell and trade trains and accessories.  The annual event will also include a special Lego train layout and operating trains of various gauges.

Admission is $6.00 for both days and children under 12 are free.  Proceeds raised from this event will beneift the Wichita Toy Train Club and Museum - a family museum which opened in November 2012.

About Wichita Toy Train Club and Museum:

The Wichita Toy Train Club and Museum is now located at 130 S. Laura, Wichita, Kansas. The Museum is open to the public on the 2nd and 4th weekends each month between the hours: Sat. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sun. 1 p.m. –  5 p.m. 

WTTC displays museum quality exhibits including the Bill Taggart ‘s 1880s western town featured in the nationally published O-Gauge Rail-Roading magazine, Vickers and Hadley layouts, a children’s race track for O, S and HO gauges, and the O and S gauge exhibiting module layouts.  The Wichita Children’s Museum Exhibit is on permanent display at the Derby Historical Museum.
