The 2014 Classic Film Series is the Orpheum Theatre’s annual series of films, shown monthly, celebrating a classic film's major anniversary.
The majority of the films will be shown at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. The first film, Forrest Gump, which celebrates its 20th Anniversary in 2014, will be screened on 35mm film on January 16, 2014.
“We’re excited to continue the tradition of classic movies in Wichita’s classic movie palace,” said Jennifer Wright, Orpheum President.
Series passes are $50 each and the venue is currently running a Buy One, Get One Free special through the end of the year.
The series passes can be purchased in person at the INTRUST Bank Arena Box Office and online at www.selectaseat.com.
The passes can also be purchased at the Orpheum Box Office before the final film in the 2013 series, It’s a Wonderful Life, at 7 p.m. on Dec. 19.
Tickets for each individual film in the series are $5 General Admission or $4 for students, seniors and military, and will be available at the door the night of each film.

February 20 – It Happened One Night – 80th Anniversary
March 20 – Ghostbusters – 30th Anniversary
April 17 – Rear Window – 60th Anniversary
May 15 – Dr. Strangelove – 50th Anniversary
June 19 – The Terminator – 30th Anniversary
July 17 – Gone with the Wind – 75th Anniversary
August 21 – She Wore a Yellow Ribbon – 65th Anniversary
September 18 – Double Indemnity – 70th Anniversary
October 23 – Young Frankenstein – 40th Anniversary
November 20 - Meet Me in St. Louis – 70th Anniversary
December 18 – White Christmas – 60th Anniversary
