A 28/m says he saw someone trying to steal scrap metal from the back of a property in the 1000 block of N. Waco. The guy fled on foot, but left behind a duffel bag which was submitted as evidence.
Bad day gets worse…
A 24/m says his bike broke down at 37th and Arkansas. He needed a ride home. Just after loading his bike into his friend’s car, he remembered that he didn’t pick up his backpack. He went back to the store where he left it - but it was gone.
Where’s my car?
A 53/f says she came out of a store in the 5400 block of N. Meridian and noticed her car wasn’t where she left it. She has the keys. She says employees at the store would not look at the parking lot video to see if they could see the theft on tape.
I didn’t order that…
A 22/m says he got a phone call from a woman saying that he’d paid for a medical alert system. The caller wanted to know when it could be delivered, then asked for specific information on his delivery address and time he would be home and gone. The man said no one in his household ordered such a system and advised the caller not to call again.
