Wichita Police Crime Sheets: Wednesday, Dec. 4

Each day, we comb through pages upon pages of crime reports from the Wichita Police Department. Below is a quick glance at some bits and pieces from those sheets.
These reports are designed to give you an idea of what residents and police are dealing with around town.

An officer reports responding to a disturbance call in the 3100 block of S. Millwood (believe this is Kelly Elementary) . During that time, someone (presumably a parent) became upset and stomped on the top of the officer’s foot. Two juveniles were taken into protective custody due to concerns of living conditions in the home and another parent refusing to allow officers to check conditions. The parent who stomped on the officer’s foot was arrested on Battery of a Law Enforcement Officer and other charges.
A 59/f in the 300 block of N. Brookside called police to report a neighbor’s dog has been barking all night. She said this has been an ongoing issue for about a month.
Securing a place on the naughty list...
A 32/f says someone stole Christmas lights from her mother’s home in the 100 block of S. Willo esque. She says someone also damaged some of the other lights at the home. She says her mother has had problems with her Christmas lights in previous years.
Threatening and spitting…
A woman says she was at a bus stop in the 1300 block of W. Maple when a stranger told her he was going to push her into the street. He then came at her with his fists up. She says she felt very threatened by the man and got onto a bus to escape him. Police found the man, who they described as “very hostile”. He came at an officer with fists clenched and attempted to spit on him. After the man was taken into custody, he continued to try to spit on two other people. He also kicked a window of the police vehicle numerous times, knocking it off its track. He was arrested on several charges.
A 54/f says someone came into her house in the 1800 block of N. Garland at gunpoint. The intruder took her purse and left. Police searched the area, but could not find him.
A 27/m says someone stole his property from a locked locker in the 400 block of N. Market. He says one of his credit cards was already used.
Boat’s on Fire…
1:07 am (Wednesday)
A man says someone, possibly his ex roommate, set fire to a woman’s boat in the 800 block of S. Green. The fire also caused damage to the homeowner’s wall.
