Each day, we comb through pages upon pages of crime reports from the Wichita Police Department.  Below is a quick glance at some bits and pieces from those sheets. 

These reports are designed to give you an idea of what residents and police are dealing with around town.

Car and stuff inside stolen…
6:21 am
A 29/f says someone stole her car from the 500 block of N. Rock Road because it was left running. The car is gone...and so were several things inside it - including a bullet-proof vest, a birth certificate, some military clothing and a 9mm Beretta holster.

Threatening texts…
8:59 am
A 32/f says someone one is sending her threatening texts. Those messages have said things like “Im coming after you and im being paid to do this” and “your beauty will fade, just like you will fade”. She says she feels intimidated by the messages.

Another car stolen while it was left running…
9:34 am
A 21/f says someone stole her car from the 1500 block of E. Lincoln. The keys were left in the car and it was running at the time. The car has a broken taillight and a brown rosary hanging from the rear-view mirror.

Stealing water…
10:25 am
A 28/m in the 2300 block of S. Broadview reports two men using his water for their own’s running up his water bill.

Green Dot…
1:00 pm
A 28/f says someone called her and claimed that if she got a Green Dot Card loaded with money on it - they would send her a loan amount. She got the card...and is now out that money. The amount is not specified.

Car stolen…
7:20 pm
A 20/m says he left his car running while he went into a business in the 1900 block of S. Seneca. Someone stole the car….and the property inside…

8:59 pm
A 40/m says someone stole his car while he left it running at a business in the 2700 block of S. Oliver. He says the guy who stole it was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, but that’s the best description he could provide.
