A 76/f says she received a call from a man claiming to be from the IRS. He said she was under investigation. The woman says there was a lot of static so she asked if she could call him back. She did call him back, but got a message that the call could not be completed.
A 32/f says she was attacked by her boss during an argument in the 2600 block of E. Central. She says the boss punched her in the upper arm. She wasn’t seriously hurt and decided not to press charges.
Someone reports finding a two-year-old girl in the locked back fence area of a church in the 1200 block of N. Lorraine. The child’s parents could not be located, so she was taken into protective custody and sent to the Wichita Children’s Home. The report does not indicate any injuries, so it’s safe to assume she was not hurt.
Wedding ring theft…
A 49/f says someone took her wedding ring while she was staying at the hospital in the 900 block of N. St. Francis. She doesn’t know who did it. The hospital told her to file a report with police. The loss is estimated at greater than $1,000.
A 60/m says someone took several memorial sprays from random graves in the 1000 block of N. Hillside. The guy put them in a black trash bag in the back of his maroon Ford pickup and left.
A 29/f reports someone pickpocketing some things from her purse in the 5500 block of E. Harry.
A 44/m says he’s being harassed by his former landlord. He says he was told to move out without any notice or proper eviction process. He says he complied and moved out, but now the landlord is texting him and telling him that he didn’t leave the property clean enough. The landlord says she’s going to start coming to his work and church to tell everyone she knows about it.
A 54/f says her husband found a dead cat in their yard while mowing in the 800 block of N. Holyoke. She says a neighbor came over and said it was their cat. They looked at the cat more closely and saw entry and exit gunshot wounds. The cat was apparently buried in the couple’s yard.
