Friday
Drive-thru robber…

6:00 am
A 29/f says a customer came to a window arguing about a food order in the 1100 block of N. Broadway while someone else reached through another window and grabbed cash from the cash register. A third person who was in the same car stayed behind because he’d ordered and paid for food while the other two left on foot.

Brick through the window…
8:18 am
A 53/m says someone threw a large piece of brick through the passenger side front door window of his car in the 300 block of N. Racehorse. He told police that a neighbor’s daughter was driving really fast in circles around the area about a week ago. He called her parents to speak about it since she doesn’t have a license to drive in the first place. He thinks the brick incident may be retaliation for that.

Neighbor kids…
8:46 am
A 22/m says some things were stolen out of a pickup in the 6100 block of S. Lulu. The rear window was left open, but the truck was not damaged. He says someone also poured baby powder all over another car. He thinks some neighborhood kids were involved in the incident.

Altered checks…
9:40 am
A 51/f says some of her personal checks have been cashed at a business by someone. She says the man typed his name in another type of font and put drivers license numbers on the front of the checks before he cashed them. The business did not require any ID.

A 46/f says her neighbor who lives behind her in the 2500 block of N. Fenner has been blowing his trash into her backyard by hanging his blower nozzle over a fence. She says this is the fourth time it’s happened in the past month and it happened last fall, too.

BB vandal…

Shot fired at a hotel...
3:00 am
A 50/m says he heard a disturbance in another room at the hotel where he was staying in the 6700 block of E. Kellogg. He then heard a single gunshot and saw the people in the room leave in a car. Police found a man in the room with bruises to his head that showed the imprint of a shoe. He didn’t need medical attention. He was not able to give many details on what happened because he lost consciousness, but he did say some of his property was missing. The bullet that was fired during the incident went through the floor into someone else’s room.

Garden-variety vandal…
7:41 am
A 31/f says someone took packaged dirt from her garden in the 3000 block of S. Valley Forge. The person opened the packages and threw it all around the garden, making a mess. She says the person also took some of the dirt and rocks from her garden and put them on her car (though it was not damaged). She says this has happened before and she thinks the same person is responsible.
