8:30 pm Saturday
An employee at the Dollar General in the 2000 block of E. 21st Street N. reports a man trying to rob the store. He told police he was able to lock the door to keep him out. He said the would-be robber showed a large semi-automatic handgun, but left once he realized he was locked out of the store. Police say the man took off into a neighborhood and has not been found.
