And mom didn’t return…
A 33/m says someone left her two children with him - but never returned to pick them up. The two children (whose ages were not listed) were taken into protective custody. The case is listed as a child abandonment.

Meat in the pants…
A 47/m says a man came into a business in the 2400 block of E. 13th N. The guy went straight to the meat counter, put two packages of meat in his baggy pants and left the store without paying for them. The caller reports the thief had a hard time walking because of the meat in his pants. He left the store westbound across 13th to Grove, then got into a car and took off. Police have not found him.
Stolen phones and clothes…
A 44/f in the 1500 block of S. Wichita says she let someone take her phones to a business down the street to be “flashed”. She also let the person use her coat and gloves because it was cold. The person never came back.
Green Dot Card scam…
A 43/f in the 1900 block of S. Seneca says she received a phone call from someone telling her that her electric bill was past due and she needed to pay immediately. She told the caller that she usually pays online or with a check in the mail. The caller then told her she “lost her privileges” to pay online and needed to go to the store and get a Green Dot Card with a certain amount on it and call him back with the card number. The woman went to the store and got the Green Dot Card. She say she was ready to give the number to the caller when she realized that the caller never asked for her account number. She hung up and called the actual utility company and found out the initial caller was a fraud.
A 54/f says someone was going around in the area of S. Waco and Gilbert and telling everyone he has the Spirit of Isaiah on him...and that his job is to destroy every church in Wichita and start one church. The report does not state whether police found the man.
Dash and Dine…
A 22/f says an employee at a business in the 5400 block of E. Central took an order out to a car. The driver said he paid for the food with a card outside the window, but when the employee checked the machine for the transaction record - the guy grabbed the food and backed out of the stall very quickly, nearly running over the employee. The employee was not hurt, just startled and scared. There were four people in the car at the time.
