West Wichita Dillons robbed at gunpoint

WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a west Wichita grocery store at gunpoint.

It happened at Dillons, near 13th and Tyler, around 11:55 p.m. Saturday. Police said the robber flashed a gun, ordering the self-checkout clerk to put money in a bag. The employee was then told to lay down on the floor, and count to 30.

The suspect ran away with an unknown amount of cash. No one was hurt.

The robber is described as a white man about 6'1", weighing 200 lbs., last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and blue latex gloves.

Police are looking through surveillance video and photos to identify a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
