WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita Police are searching for vandals who damaged buses at the Boys and Girls Club.

It happened in the 2400 block of N. Opportunity overnight Sunday into Monday. A 28-year-old man called police around 6 p.m. to report one of the buses had a broken window.

Officers also found another bus had been defecated in. The damage estimate has not been released. It will be turned over to insurance.

The buses are used to transport kids five days a week.

Todd Lewis, Boys and Girls Club of Central Kansas President, said he will use this incident to reinforce good character and education with the kids.

"We take the opportunity to talk to them (the kids) about the impact of making bad decisions," he said. "How the impact of a bad decision can actually impact more than just them."

Police are investigating whether there is surveillance video of the crime. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
