HAYS, Kan. -

Don't be surprised when you start seeing Tesla Motors charging stations popping up across Kansas.

The automaker is installing Supercharger sites along I-70 for those driving its electric car.

The company opened a station in the parking lot of the new Applebee's in Hays on Friday. It is the first Tesla station in Kansas.

Tesla plans to open four charging stations along I-70 in Kansas by the end of the year.

It takes about 20 minutes for the car to receive half a charge.
