Teen arrested for crashing car into stadium building

SALINA, Kan. -

A teenager escaped injury after crashing an SUV into a brick wall at a college baseball stadium.

It happened at Dean Evans Stadium just before 1 a.m. Thursday. Salina Police said a 15-year-old boy was driving an SUV at a high rate of speed on the old runway, when he struck a parking block, flew over the fence, and into the bathroom of the stadium.

The SUV left a gaping hole in the building, but a damage estimate was not available.

The teenager was arrested for curfew violation, driving on a restricted license, speeding and inattentive driving.
