State closes Wichita RV business for not paying taxes

State officials, along with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department have closed a Wichita RV business for failing to pay taxes.

Adventure RV and Truck Center LLC and Adventureland RV Rentals Inc., 4650 S. Broadway St., closed Friday. The state said the business owes $309,161 in state sales tax.

Officers seized all known bank accounts, on-site cash, business inventory and personal property assets belonging to owner Douglas C. Williams.

Assets will be sold at a public auction to pay the back taxes.

Warrant execution occurs when all other collection attempts have been exhausted.
