St. Louis closing major interstate ... right as Valley Tourney gets going
This weekend isn’t the most convenient time for an interstate to be closed next to St. Louis’ Scottrade Center, but that’s what’s happening nonetheless.
The Missouri Valley Conference, which begins its men’s basketball tournament Friday at Scottrade, has issued a news release informing incoming fans about the detours they might encounter.
It will not affect team travel to and from hotels to Scottrade Center, the release states, but it will affect fans traveling to downtown St. Louis eastbound on Interstate 64.
Alternate options to get to Scottrade Center from the west include Interstate 44, Interstate 70, and from Interstate 64 eastbound take I-170 north to Forest Park Parkway east to the Market Street exit.
