ELLSWORTH, Kan -

A gust of wind is blamed for tipping a semi hauling an empty trailer.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said the accident happened on I-70 near K-156 Junction in Ellsworth County Wednesday evening.

The driver, 46 year-old Eric Tyszko of Topeka, was EB going over a hill at the time of the accident. Tyszko wasn't hurt. Troopers said he had his seat belt on.

A passenger, 53 year-old Charles Wynkoop the III of Valley Falls, Kansas, was asleep in the cab, when the semi flipped over on its side. He was taken to a Salina hospital for treatment. Troopers said Wynkoop was not buckled up.
