SALINA, Kan. -

A 44-year-old man and 99-year-old woman are hospitalized in Salina. Police were responding to the 50 block of E. Crawford early Thursday morning after getting reports that someone was stabbed.

While police were responding, a 99-year-old woman who was driving in the area lost control and crashed head-on into another car. Police believe she may have been distracted by the patrol cars.

The woman was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but her condition was not released. The other driver was not hurt.

Police say a man was found with three stab wounds to the chest and stomach in an apartment on E. Crawford. He was taken to the hospital for surgery.

Police say they believe a man and woman were involved in robbing the man and that prescription medications were taken from the home.
