Saline County sheriff's deputies arrest two men from Virginia who they say were carrying marijuana products from Colorado.
The Saline County sheriff says a deputy was running radar on I-70 Thursday evening, and saw a vehicle driving in the passing lane, which is against state law. When the deputy stopped the driver, the deputy noticed the smell of marijuana.
A canine was brought in to go through the car. Investigators say they found a large quantity of edible pot products. The men were taken to the Saline County jail and face charges including drug possession.
Investigators say the men went to Denver, and they believe they were bringing the products back to their business in Virginia. They say they do not know if the men intended to sell the products.
The Saline County sheriff says this is the third or fourth case like this in the past week, with people coming from Colorado, getting pulled over for traffic violations and officers discovering drugs that are legal in Colorado, but illegal in Kansas.
