Local law enforcement officers have arrested a man in connection to a string of recent Subway robberies.

The man was taken in to custody after Sedgwick County deputies stopped a white van for a traffic violation on west Kellogg Tuesday afternoon.

Jail records indicate Richard Alumbaugh, 26, and Larry Powell, 34, were arrested and booked on robbery charges.

Detectives believe the suspects are responsible for at least three robberies at Wichita Subways over the past week.

Wichita Police have released surveillance photos of a man accused of robbing a sandwich shop last week.

It happened at Subway, 615 E. 47th St. South, Jan. 30.

Police said the man demanded money from the clerk, indicating he had a gun. This is one of several Subway robberies over the last week, although it is unclear whether the crimes may be connected.

Anyone who recognizes the man or knows anything about the crime should call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.
