No charges will be filed against a former Kingman Police Chief.
Marc Holloway resigned Jan. 3 after an investigation by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation started in mid-November.
A special prosecutor, Michael Johnston of Johnston, Eisenhauer and Eisenhauer in Pratt, has declined to file any charges against Holloway. Gregory Graffman, Kingman City Attorney, said his office has closed the case.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has declined to comment on what led to the investigation.
Holloway released a statement to Eyewitness News saying, "It was brought to my attention that this investigation has been concluded. After being judged publicly, with no way of defending myself, I am glad that the citizens finally have access to the truth. I would like to thank all of those in the community who have supported me."
