WICHITA, Kan. -

Wichita police arrest a man accused of stabbing another at an east Wichita club.

Police arrived at Club Rodeo just after midnight Thursday morning. That's where two men got into a fight in the parking lot and one pulled out a knife.

Wichita Police say that's when the suspect stabbed the victim in the chest. He was taken in serious condition to a Wichita hospital.

No one else was hurt.

Club Rodeo released the following statement regarding the incident:

This statement is regarding the unfortunate incident that occurred last night at
Club Rodeo. First and foremost our thoughts go out to the man who went to the
hospital last night. As we understand it- he was not admitted and is doing well.

Secondly- Club Rodeo is working very aggressively with the Wichita PD to provide
a safe environment. With that in mind- we chose to close down Thursday nights.
We will continue our new country Wednesday nights.
Club Rodeo is a locally owned and family run business that takes pride in
providing safe entertainment to Wichita.

Sincerely,

Eric and Tracy
Owners of Club Rodeo
