Man pleads guilty to Colby woman's death

A Garden City man charged in death of a Colby woman pleads guilty to her murder.

William Andrew Shank, 25, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to the charges of first-degree premeditated murder, aggravated arson and aggravated burglary.

The charges stem from a deadly house fire in the February of 2013. When Colby firefighters arrived at the home of Teri L. Morris, 27, they found her body inside.

Shank was arrested a few days later, in connection with Morris death.

He is set to be sentenced for the crime on September 10 at 9 a.m.
