Man leads police on chase, hits other cars
Wichita police arrest a man who led them on a chase late Thursday. According to police, they stopped a car in the 1400 block of N. Emporia at around 10:00 pm.
The driver then took off and led police on a pursuit around several blocks. During that pursuit, the driver struck three other cars, causing minor injuries in two of them.
Police caught up with the 23-year-old driver in the 1500 block of N. St. Francis and arrested him.
He faces charges of reckless driving, drug possession, felony evade and elude, obstructing and resisting police, aggravated battery (for hitting the other cars), hit and run with injuries and multiple traffic charges.
Police say the man ran 24 stop signs and five red lights during the pursuit.
