Man fires shots during attempted fast food robbery

Wichita Police are looking for a man accused of trying to rob an east side fast food restaurant.

It happened at Burger King in the 11000 block of East Kellogg around 2:30 a.m. Monday. Police said an armed man approached two employees who were taking a break outside.

The man demanded the code to the safe, but the employees refused. The man fired two shots into the air, then ran away.

The suspect is described as a white man about 5'2" tall, weighing 130 lbs., last seen carrying a shotgun and wearing a white bag over his head. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
