St. Louis, MO -

Basketball fans have been calling for a game between KU and WSU for years, but this season the cry has become especially loud. Fans for both teams take to the internet and talk radio to debate which team is superior. Now another team wants in on the debate.

Kansas State fans say they are tired of being overlooked. The K-State dance team discussed what they call the "in state bias" Thursday afternoon at the team's hotel lobby.

"I'm not angry. It's just disappointing to have these guys give it their all time and time again and they don't get the recognition they deserve," Amy Smith said, a senior on Kansas State's dance team.

But her friend and fellow dancer Maggie Drake has a different take. She says what others may perceive as her school's weakness is actually their strength.

"We're the underdogs and it keeps us humble. But when we show up and win it will be a surprise to everyone but us," Drake said.
