A fire that broke out near a southeast Wichita home has been contained.

Crews were called to the  1300 block of South Todd, near Harry and Webb, around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Crews spotted smoke on arrival, and managed to quickly contain a fire. High winds quickly fueled the fire, spreading the flames to a fence and nearby homes.

Deputy Chief Tammy Snow, Wichita Fire, said one home is not liveable due to smoke and fire damage, and an open roof.

No one was hurt.

Investigators are now trying to figure out just how it started.
