Crash in W. Kansas kills three

Three people are dead after a crash in Western Kansas.  The Kansas Highway Patrol says visibility was at zero when the crash happened on U-83 just west of Rexford in Thomas County Thursday afternoon.

That crash involved six commercial vehicles and five passenger cars.  The cause of the crash remains under investigation, KHP has not said whether low visibility was a factor.

Those killed have been identified as 51-year-old Leonard Breeden of Colby, 57-year-old James Perrett of Terryton, Texas, and 66-year-old Jerold Lamb of Florissant, Colorado.  All three were in different vehicles.

10 others were hurt.
