An agriculture machinery manufacturer is expected to reopen soon after computer systems issue forced the facility to close.
AGCO in Hesston temporarily closed Wednesday. John Merigian, plant manager of labor relations, he IT employees could not work on the computer issues until production is stopped.
The company said it is working to correct the situation quickly.
AGCO employs a total of 1,500 people. The company is known as the global supplier of agricultural machinery, such as combines and other equipment.
Merigian said the systems issues are not related to a computer virus. AGCO workers are urged to call an employee advisory number 620-327-6299, which will be updated periodically.
