WICHITA, Kan. -

It's a chance for kids battling cancer, to be kids.

Camp Quality Kansas kicked off at Camp Hiawatha Sunday. Kids ages 4 to 17 faced off in the annual duct tape and cardboard boat races.

The camp is free for cancer patients, and their families. It is funded by private donations, and organized by nearly 100 volunteers.

The camp is week-long, and offers an oncology nursing staff on site.

Camp Quality also hosts other year-round events for children and families. Click here to learn more.
