WICHITA, Kan. -

An early morning beating sent a cab driver to the hospital with several broken bones in his face on Saturday.

Officers on patrol found the 39-year-old victim stumbling in the parking lot of the La Quinta Inn in the 7300 block of East Kellogg around 12:30 Saturday morning.

The man had a bloody, swollen face.

He told officers he had dropped three men off at the hotel, and then they beat him until he went unconscious.

Police say they believe the suspects wanted to skip out on their cab fare.

The man's injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

No arrests have been made.
