COLUMBUS, Kan. -

Last week, the Columbus Public Library in southeast Kansas had to replace a window when burglars broke it. They got inside and stole money and a computer.

One day later, the thieves struck again.

But in the end it may have worked out. A construction company is donating laptops to the library.

"There is no way we can replace what we lost with the insurance money we got," said library director Danielle Dougherty. "So the fact that they are willing to donate these laptops is like, 'Wow, this is the best Christmas present ever!'"

Columbus police have no suspects in the case.
