The man accused of driving into a secure area at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport was placed on probation Wednesday morning.

Judge William Woolley sentenced Mark Rehme, 26, to 18 months probation. If he violates the probation, he'll be forced to serve his full sentence which includes seven months in jail on the felony charge of criminal damage to property and six months in jail for the misdemeanor charge of criminal trespass.  Both sentences would run consecutively.

In June, Rehme pleaded guilty to ramming his pickup truck into a security fence near the Cessna property.  The incident happened in January. He was stopped by airport security.

Rehme will be allowed to visit his family in Oklahoma with proper notification to his probation officer.
