WICHITA, Kan. -

A Wichita couple is in jail accused of abusing their three-month-old son. Officers arrested the mother and father at Wesley Medical Center Wednesday.

The boy was taken to the hospital with critical injuries on Tuesday. He was admitted for treatment and police say they don't know if the boy will survive.

According to police, the parents first said the boy was unresponsive after taking a bath. But, after more interviews, police arrested both parents.

28-year-old Christina Schulte was arrested for Aggravated Child Endangerment. 26-year-old Aaron Piland was arrested on Child Abuse, Aggravated Battery and Child Endangerment charges.

No formal charges have been filed.

Police say the boy suffered internal head injuries.

Police tell us the parents just moved to Wichita from Hutchinson and were staying with family members in West Wichita.

Two other children, a three-year-old girl and one-year-old boy, were taken into police protective custody in connection with the case. They were not hurt.
