3 teens arrested in Liberal double-shooting

Three teenagers are in custody in connection to a drug-related double-shooting in Liberal.

It happened in the 100 block of West Walnut, just after 2 a.m. Friday.

Police said two armed teenagers confronted another man at his home. The man was shot during a struggle. A 17-year-old woman suffered minor injuries as a result of the shooting. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A 24-year-old man was transported to a Wichita hospital in serious condition.

Officers arrested a 15-year-old boy shortly after the crime in connection to the shooting.

Around 4:30 p.m. Friday, two other teenagers, a 17-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy were taken into custody in Plains.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the crime.
