2 killed in crash near Sedan, Kansas

SEDAN, Kan. -

Attempting to pass a car on a two-lane road resulted in a double fatality.

It happened about one o'clock Tuesday afternoon on US-166 about two miles South of Sedan, Kansas, in Chautauqua, County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said in an attempt to pass a car, a westbound driver lost control and went into eastbound lanes and struck by an on-coming car. 

67 year-old Linda Jo Creamer of Willard, Missouri, was dead at the scene, while 68 year-old Phillip T. Schulz of Stafford, Kansas, died at the hospital from his injuries.
