These reports are designed to give you an idea of what residents and police are dealing with around town.

A 45/m in the 1100 block of N. Main says he saw camera flashes outside the camper he’s living in (in the driveway of a friend’s home). He heard what sounded like his nephew’s car outside...he also heard a voice say “I got it!” after seeing a camera flash outside the camper’s awning area. He looked outside and saw someone next to a car, but it wasn’t his nephew - or his car.
A 63/m says he saw someone jump over a fence to a business in the 1600 block or E. 37th N. The guy got into an unlocked vehicle with a key in the ashtray...backed out through a fence, damaging a gate and post. The vehicle has not been recovered.
Soap dispenser destroyed….
A 39/m reports a juvenile ripping a soap dispenser from the wall while at a facility in the 800 block of N. Holyoke (believe this is the Wichita Children’s Home). He then got into the man’s face during an argument, causing him to fear for his safety. The youngster was arrested for simple assault and criminal damage to property.
Road rage at the hospital…
A 48/f says she was pulling into the garage at the hospital in the 900 block of N. St. Francis when someone slammed on her brakes in front of her. When she parked her car, the driver in the other car started yelling at her, swearing at her and calling her all kinds of foul names. She says the guy had a woman and child in the car with him. She got the tag number from his car, and if there is any damage to her car - she wants to press charges. No physical contact.
A 46/f in the 400 block of S. Green says someone stole two dogs from her fenced-in backyard. She’s pretty sure it was her ex-boyfriend. A neighbor saw him chasing the dogs down the street.
Stolen trash cans…
A 25/f in the 2500 block of S. Victoria says her landlord stole her trash can s.> She says she saw him take two bins...and wanted to document the incident.
A 29/f says her neighbors dogs bark non-stop...and have been for the past year. She says it’s gotten worse over the past week or so. The dogs are out all day and she says no one in her family can go outside because there is no peace.
I’ll buy if you fly…
A 43/m in the 500 block of E. Pawnee says he loaned his car to a guy to go pick up food for them. The guy came back with the food, but left again and the vehicle was never returned.
A 27/f in the 100 block of S. Nevada says someone was walking by her house - and was startled by her dog barking. The person jumped up onto the roof of her car, causing damage to the car. Police have not found the person.
You got the wrong gal…
A 29/f called police after receiving as many as 45 profane text messages from a woman she does not know. The messages are threatening and accusing her of sleeping with her husband. She doesn’t know who is sending the messages and has tried to assure the woman that she has the wrong person, but the harassment continues.
