Each day, we comb through pages upon pages of crime reports from the Wichita Police Department.  Below is a quick glance at some bits and pieces from those sheets. 

These reports are designed to give you an idea of what residents and police are dealing with around town.

Wasting water…
11:10 am
A 51/f in the 1900 block of S. Stacey says someone went into her backyard, unhooked a water hose and turned on her water - which caused it to leak in her yard.

Rude caller…

A 44/f says she received a call from someone claiming to be with Federal Law Enforcement.  The caller said they sent two letters to the woman regarding a federal suit and she had not responded.  The caller wanted to confirm some of her personal information, but she refused.  The caller then became angry and said that local police would be there in ten minutes to arrest her. 

Stolen toolboxes…

A 52/m says someone took tool boxes and tools from the beds of two pickups in the 11800 block of W. Central.  Loss is estimated at over $1000.

“I STILL don’t sell drugs…”

A 38/m says someone called his phone three times asking if he is selling any drugs. 

Stolen go-cart…
5:32 pm
A 51/m says his go-cart was stolen from his backyard in the 7300 block of E. Clay.  He says a portion of his back gate was down and he thinks that’s how the thief got in.
