The Bliss Machine: Does it Work?
(WICHITA, Kan.) -

Cottage cheese, oatmeal, and hail damage.  Those are some of the nicknames for a persistent problem many women would love to erase.

Beatrice said she tried working out to get rid of her cellulite, but it would never go away.

Beatrice is 28-years-old.  She has been fighting her pin cushion thighs for eight years.  That's why she was willing to make an eight-week commitment, using the Bliss Lean Machine and cream for three minutes on each leg, every day.

The machine claims to deliver "effective vacuum-assisted massage action and helps visibly reduce the appearance of cellulite."   We paid $145 for the machine at Sephora.  That doesn't count the cost of the special cream.

"If this is all you have to do, I think this would be great if it does work for women," Beatrice said.

We left the equipment with Beatrice for four weeks.

At the four week check up, Beatrice told us she was not able to use the machine every day.

"My legs started getting really tender and I started to bruise a little bit," Beatrice said. "So, I have cut down to every other day and that seems to help quite a bit."

Beatrice scaled back her treatment for two weeks because of the bruises.  But she said she would go back to using it every day for testing purposes.

The company's website says the machine should not be painful.  It says you should start the machine on a "low suction strength" and gradually increase the intensity. It also recommends using a lot of cream.

At her eight week check up, Beatrice was not convinced the machine was making a noticeable improvement.

"It was kind of frustrating," she said.

But when she saw her before and after pictures side-by-side, she noticed difference.

"I did see some improvement," Beatrice said.

We talked with Beatrice recently.  It has been two weeks since she stopped using the product.  She says she has noticed her skin isn't quite as firm as it was when she was using the cream and machine.
