You take it for granted that you can listen to music when you walk or job. But hit the lap pool, and you don't have that option. Until now.
The $200 Swimp3 is an underwater MP3 player--with a twist. You don't put the headphones over your ears, but instead over your cheekbones. They are supposed to conduct the sound to your ears.
We took the device to the Wichita Swim Club for a test. After just one lap, our first volunteer was impressed--and surprised.
"It's really strange. It's soothing and I like it!" says Chris Erickson. "I might work harder than before!"
Brandon Hadley agrees. "I've never been able to do that. That was awesome!"
Our third tester, Megan Bengtson, had her doubts.
"You ask surprised," I commented.
"I really am. I didn't think I'd be able to hear as well as I did, and so clear and not cutting out."
But the price tag?
Chris laughs, "So I'll save a little bit!"
Does It Work?
Just ask Brandon. "It's on my Christmas list now!"
